The Tomorrow War teaser – Chris Pratt travels to the future to fight aliens

Amazon Studios has released the first official trailer for The Tomorrow War.

In the movie, a group of time travelers arrive from the year 2051 with the message that mankind is losing in the war against an invading alien species. Their only hope for survival is to recruit people from the present to be transported to the future to help defend the planet.

The Tomorrow War will follow high school teacher Dan Forestar (Chris Pratt) who volunteers to save the world for his young daughter. He will team up with a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski) and his distant father (J.K. Simmons) on his daring mission to save humanity.

The film is directed by Chris McKay (The Lego Batman Movie) in his live-action directorial debut and written by Zack Dean.

Originally, the film was set for a Dec. 2020 theatrical release by Paramount Pictures, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the distribution rights were sold to Amazon Studios for $200 million, Deadline reported.
