Everything coming to streaming services in October 2020

As we reach October, not much has changed with the pandemic. Some schools and businesses have reopened but it’s still our responsibility to stay safe to prevent the virus from continuing to spread. Instead of going out this year for Halloween, consider taking a look at these new movies and TV shows and having a family night at home.

Hubbie Halloween – A new Netflix original movie starring Adam Sandler as Hubie Dubois, who spends each Halloween making sure the town of Salem, Massachusetts celebrates safely. But this year, with a criminal on the loose and people suddenly disappearing, it’s up to Hubie to convince the police (Kevin James, Kenan Thompson) that the threat is real. This looks extremely silly, like all Adam Sandler movies, but if you’re in the mood to laugh, this might be just what you’re looking for this October.

Truth Seekers – Season 1 – A horror-comedy series from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost about paranormal investigators who set out to film ghost sightings.

Onward – releasing in the UK. If you haven’t seen this yet, I’d highly recommend it. It’s a great, light-hearted film about adventure and brotherhood. It released right as the pandemic was starting, which was very unfortunate timing for this awesome animated movie.

The Mandalorian – Season 2 – I was so impressed and absolutely loved the first season. This is my most anticipated new release this month and I can’t wait to see what all is in store for the Mandlorian and finding Baby Yoda’s people. It looks like the new episodes will air weekly, but hopefully people don’t review bomb this like they did with season 2 of The Boys.
