Peacock reveals release date and first look at ‘Psych 3: This Is Gus’

Peacock has released the first trailer for Psych 3: This Is Gus. You know that’s right.

The story picks up with Shawn and Gus hot on the heels of their latest wacky mystery – tracking down the estranged husband of Gus’ fiancé and discovering her true identity before their shotgun wedding and the birth of their baby.

Check out the trailer below.

Psych premiered in 2006 and followed the highly observant Shawn Spencer (James Roday Rodriguez) who worked with his partner, Burton “Gus” Guster (Dulé Hill), and the Santa Barbara Police Department to solve crimes while posing as a Psychic Detective. The series ended in 2014 after eight seasons, then made its triumphant return in 2017 with Psych: The Movie. In 2020, Psych 2: Lassie Come Home was released and, following the theme of the previous movie, the title of the third movie features an on-the-nose reference to the popular NBC series This Is Us

Returning to direct the movie is Psych creator Steve Franks, who co-wrote the movie alongside James Roday Rodriguez. Rodriguez, alongside Hill, will reprise their roles as Shawn and Gus. In addition, the movie will star returning cast members Timothy Omundson as Carlton Lassiter, Maggie Lawson as Juliet O’Hara, Corbin Bernsen as Henry Spencer, Kirsten Nelson as Karen Vick, Sage Brocklebank as Buzz McNab, Jazmyn Simon as Selene and Kurt Fuller as Woody Strode. The trailer featured a surprise cameo of Tears for Fears artist Curt Smith, who made multiple appearances throughout the span of the show.

Psych 3: This Is Gus will premiere Nov. 18 exclusively on Peacock.
