‘The Batman’ second trailer gives new look at the Dark Knight’s ferocity

Warner Bros. released the second trailer for Matt Reeves’ The Batman at DC’s 2021 FanDome virtual event.

Check it out below.

The trailer reveals a first look at the Riddler (Paul Dino), the film’s primary antagonist, in addition to showing more of Oswald Cobblepot (Colin Farrell). It also provided an extended look at Selina Kyle (Zoë Kravitz) and her romance with Batman, hinting at the cat-and-mouse relationship the two share in the comics.

Besides a few images shared by Reeves, this is the first we’ve seen of the film since last August at DC FanDome 2020. In the first trailer, we see Batman confront a group of criminals and, when asked who he is, he declared “Vengeance.” This trailer continued that theme showing the hero’s darker and more ferocious side. Using fear as a tool, his Bat Signal is not just a call, but “a warning” to the criminals of Gotham.

The Batman will be released in theaters March 4, 2022.
