New ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ trailer gives first look at Electro, Lizard and Green Goblin

Sony Pictures Entertainment has released the second trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, giving fans a first look at the many familiar faces set to appear in the film.

Among these was Jamie Foxx’s Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), The Lizard from The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and maybe most notably, Willam Dafoe’s Green Goblin from Spider-Man (2002). The trailer also featured Sandman and gave a closer look at Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man 2 (2004).

Check it out below.

Although there was still no confirmation of Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield making an appearance in the movie, Doc Ock says “You’re not Peter,” after seeing Tom Holland’s face revealed. Additionally, in the Brazilian version of this trailer, there appears to be a scene where The Lizard is punched by an invisible foe (around the 55 second mark), leading to speculation that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield may have been digitally removed from the trailer.

Speculation aside, it is doubtful that Sony will confirm whether or not Maguire and Garfield will appear in No Way Home. Fans will just have to see for themselves Dec. 17 in theaters if the rumors are true.
