A24’s ‘The Green Knight’ set for a summer theatrical release

A24 released a new trailer for The Green Knight, set to release this in theaters this summer.

The movie, written and directed by David Lowery, stars Dev Patel as Sir Gawain, King Arthur’s headstrong nephew. After facing a mystical foe, Gawain sees a series of visions and must embark on a quest to confront the tree-like creature.

In addition, the cast will include Alicia Vikander, Joel Edgerton, Sarita Choudhury, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Barry Keoghan and Erin Kellyman.

The Green Knight is a fantasy re-telling of the poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight from the 14th century.

The movie was originally scheduled to release in March 2020 at South by Southwest with a theatrical release in May. Due to COVID-19, the film was delayed and is now set to release in theaters summer 2021. Check out the trailer below.
