Batman: The Long Halloween Part 1 trailer debut

DC has released the first official trailer for their upcoming film Batman: The Long Halloween.

The film will follow Batman, Harvey Dent and Commissioner Gordan as they try to put an end to the war between the Falcone and Maroni crime families. But when a serial killer emerges who only strikes on holidays, it’s up to Batman to solve the case and answer the question: “Who is Holiday?”

Widely considered one of the best Batman detective stories, the movie will draw from The Long Halloween, written by Jeff Lobe.

Similar to how DC split up Batman: The Dark Knight Returns animated movie, The Long Halloween will also be released in two parts.

Jensen Ackles will be voicing the Caped Crusader in this film, with Troy Baker returning to his role as The Joker. Previously, Ackles voiced Red Hood in the Batman: Under The Red Hood movie and now it looks like he’s suiting up for the lead roll. The voice cast will also include David Dastmalchian as Calendar Man, Jack Quaid (The Boys) as Alberto, Josh Duhamel (Justified) as Harvey Dent, Titus Welliver (Bosch) as Falcone, and the recently deceased Naya Rivera (Glee) as Selina Kyle.

Part One of The Long Halloween is set to release this summer with Part Two following this fall. Check out the trailer below.
