Everything Coming to Streaming Services December 2020

December is a big month for new movies and shows, with the stand-out being Wonder Woman 1984 available on HBO Max Dec. 25. Check out some of the other things that caught my eye coming out this month.

Netflix

Dec.1

Stargate SG-1 – seasons 1-10

Dec. 4

Mank – a black-and-white biopic following the alcoholic screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz in developing Orson Welles’ iconic Citizen Kane. Directed by David Fincher and starring Gary Oldman, Amanda Seyfried and Lily Collins.

Big Mouth – season 4

Dec. 18

Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom – Starring Viola Davis as Ma Rainey, the “Mother of Blues,” and Chadwick Boseman, in his final role as her trumpet player. This film is based on the Pulitzer Prize winner August Wilson’s play and is thought to be a possible Oscar contender.

Dec. 23

The Midnight Sky – a post-apocalyptic story about a lonely scientist in the arctic who tries to warn a group of astronauts from returning to Earth to a global catastrophe. Directed by and starring George Clooney, this is the film I’m most interested in from Netflix this month.

Dec. 31

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part 4 – the fourth and final season.

Check out the full list here for anything I may have missed or to see what’s leaving Netflix in December.

Hulu

Disney Plus

Dec. 4

Mulan – If you waited on watching this live action film, I’d recommend giving it a shot. Check out my review here.

Big

Sky High – a childhood classic of mine.

Dec. 18

Eddie the Eagle

Dec. 25

Soul – a musician is taken from his body and must find his way back with the help of an infant soul learning about herself. Being a Pixar movie starring both Jamie Foxx and Tina Fey, I have no doubt this will be good and definitely worth checking out.

The last three episodes of The Mandalorian will premiere Fridays and if you aren’t watching yet, get on it. Not only is it great for Star Wars fans, but it also has Baby Yoda. Nuff said.
