Ghost of Tsushima was a masterpiece and now it’s becoming a movie

Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima was a fantastic open world adventure game and now is being developed into a movie.

The film will be directed by Chad Stahelski, director of John Wick, John Wick: Chapter Two and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. With that in mind, I think it’s safe to say the movie will have some amazing action sequences and choreography.

Nate Fox, Game Director of Sucker Punch Productions, had nothing but high praise for Stahelski and his work on John Wick.

“His vision for what could be, backed up by years of experience, combined to create some of the finest action scenes ever created,” Fox said. “If anyone could bring to life the razor-sharp tension of Jin’s katana combat, it’s Chad Stahelski.”

According to Fox, Ghost of Tsushima has sold over 6.5 million copies and roughly half those people have played through the entire game. The game was even nominated for 2020’s Game of the Year but lost out to The Last of Us Part II.

With some on Twitter speculating who would be cast in the lead role, some suggested Daisuke Tsuji, the actor who actually played the character in the game. Tsuji responded saying if he got the role, he’d play the part in its entirety.
