Knives Out 2 adds more to its ensemble cast

The sequel to Knives Out has recently added multiple well-known actors to its cast, among these are Dave Bautista, Edward Norton and Janelle Monáe.

Knives Out (2019), grossed $311.4 million with a $40 million budget. After the success of the first, it was reported that Netflix purchased the rights to Knives Out 2 and 3 for $450 million. Rian Johnson is set to write and direct the sequels, along with Daniel Craig reprising his role as Benoit Blanc.

Although there are no plot details for the Knives Out sequel as of now, the film will follow Craig’s charming Southern detective solving another mystery with a large cast of suspects on his hands.

Similar to the first film, the sequel will also feature an ensemble cast playing a cat and mouse game in a Whodunit mystery. Recently announced to be among them is Dave Bautista, known for his role as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy and the Marvel Cinematic Universe; Edward Norton, from Fight Club and The Incredible Hulk; and Janelle Monáe who was in Hidden Figures.

Filming for the sequel is set to begin this summer in Greece and the movie is estimated to be released in 2022.
