New Star Wars: Hunters Free-to-Play Game Coming to Switch and Mobile Devices 2021

During the Nintendo Direct on Feb. 17, Zynga and Lucasfilm Games presented the official teaser for Star Wars: Hunters, set to be released later this year.

Taking place between Episodes 6 and 7, Hunters was described as a competitive third-person-shooter with team-based, multiplayer battles and will feature a diverse selection of new Star Wars characters.

The trailer features holograms showcasing a red lightsaber-wielding warrior, an Imperial commando, a dual blaster-wielding Mandalorian and a Wookie warrior. It also featured a graffiti-covered hallway, similar to that of Jabba’s Palace, and the hallway door opening to reveal a smoky warzone with blaster fire and a lightsaber.

Hunters will connect players in real-time battles featured in Star Wars themed arena settings.

“Star Wars: Hunters draws inspiration from classic Star Wars stories and settings, but with a look and feel that is different from anything we have done before,” said Douglas Reilly, VP of Lucasfilm Games.

Star Wars: Hunters will be available for free download on Nintendo Switch, the App Store and the Google Play store later this year. Check out the teaser below.
